Excel Graphs Submission

A quick summary of Excel Graphs Submission

Sending your Excel graphs and charts in a vector file format ensures that they would look crisp on the page.

Before Exporting

Ideally all graphs and tables in the book should follow the same style and have a uniform size across book chapters. We suggest:

  • Setting text in TexGyre Pagella at 9pt body size;
  • Setting the graph width at 315pt.

How to Set Graph Width in Excel

Simply:

  1. Select the graph(s) you wish to resize;
  2. Right-click the selection, and choose Format Plot Area;
  3. Choose Chart Area and then Size & Proprieties. The current width value is expressed in your system default unit of measurement; simply input 315 pt for the value to be automatically converted. Set height as appropriate for readability.

Exporting graphs and charts as PDF
